I woke up early this first morning back to work and though daylight was fast approaching for the sky was so bright. However, it was only the moon! It shined like a bright star that doesn’t want to give up the stage. This isn’t the best picture but I wasn’t going outside in 1-degree weather just for a better shot.

I’m a leader for my church’s youth group, and these teens are such a blessing. Tonight the Youth Pastor had a prayer service, and it was worshipful and hopeful for a new year of repentance, trusting God, and praising Him for all He’s done for us and has yet to do.

I had the house to myself this evening. I got comfortable on my favorite couch in our great room, turned on Netflix, secluded from the arctic cold outdoors. This chair sits in front of my couch, and I loved the image produced. The warm light, the soft afghan throw, and the ragdoll Santa make me feel like Christmas in the country. The picture of home- coziness, a place to sit and read, while enjoying a long winter’s night.
January 5, 2018, Tonight was girls night! My sister slept the night since her husband was out of town. The three of us went to the mall and shopped a little before coming home and crashing for the night. I was so excited to go home with my new American Eagle Jeans, but to my sad surprise I had unknowingly picked up the wrong pair, coming home with a short pair instead of regular. The bright side is this means another trip to the mall!

Today my best friend Megan (who lives in Georgia) and I started a virtual Bible study with Pricilla Shirer’s book Fervent! I love how technology can connect us with friends from far away.

Sunday mornings find me in the media room directing and operating the cameras for our live stream and Television ministry. I never thought I would like doing this but it’s become something I really enjoy.

The College Football Championship was tonight. One of the most stressful games of the season, but it ended in our favor! The Tide pushed through and this true freshman stepped into the pages of history. My favorite part? How he gave all the glory to God!

Today the temperature finally rose above freezing! It felt like a wonderful spring day, which will help as this weekend is calling for snow.
